It is good to know some things that will change in renewal item-wise.

1) High Attack, High level weapons are the best for attack. They will greatly outperform the old lvl 1 4xslotted weapons.
2) It is really worth it now to overupgrade weapons. Not only it greatly increases ATK, but also MATK, so wizzies can start stocking oris as well.
3) Size/Type reductions will be much weaker then they are now. Don't spend too much money on racial shields, as they won't be that good in renewal. Elemental reductions are still good. Especially neutral reduction, as every attack now has a part of its damage dealt as neutral.
4) Unless Dragon Breath changes dramatically a fire property armor will be a must for WoE.

Dragon Breath is Rune Knight new skill and it's really imba.

Dragon Breath
Causes the dragon to breath incredibly hot fire, with a chance to cause burning which deals damage over time. The damage of Dragon Breath is dependant on the current HP and max SP of the rider.
  • Max Level: 10
  • Prerequisites: Dragon Training LV 2
  • Type: Physical Raged AOE damage
  • Cast time: 3 secs.(2.4 variable/ 0.6 fixed aprox.) uninterruptible
  • After cast delay: 2 secs.
  • Reuse delay: NA
  • SP Cost: 25+5*skill level
  • AOE: 9x9
  • Range: 9 cells
  • Requires Dragon Mount to be used
  • Forced Fire Element
[Level 1] AOE 3x3
[Level 2] AOE 3x3
[Level 3] AOE 3x3
[Level 4] AOE 5x5
[Level 5] AOE 5x5
[Level 6] AOE 5x5
[Level 7] AOE 7x7
[Level 8] AOE 7x7
[Level 9] AOE 9x9
[Level 10] AOE 9x9

Notes
  • a possible dragon breath formula By Doddler {(CurrentHP*0.016)+(MaxSP*0.192)} * SkillLv * Base/100 * ElementMod
  • Burnig chace is still unknown
  • Dragon Breath IS NOT blocked by magnetic earth/Land protector
  • Dragon Breath IS blocked by pneuma
  • Dragon Breath can be bloked by Parry/Guard
  • Dragon Breath IS reduced by Defending Aura
  • Dragon Breath ignores racial and elemental % reduction cards equipment(like thara frog, Beret, valk shiled)
  • Elemental armors are the only way to reduce Dragon Breath damage
  • Dragon Breath ignores flee

This weeks kRo patch changed racial reductions back to how they are pre-renewal!! Don't sell your racial reduction cards if you intended to after my post. The change itself has stirred a lot of discussion and it is strange that they reverted it back to old style after a year or so of testing renewal formulas, but I for once like it. Also - they have fixed ranged dmg mods, so things like Bow Thimble now affect entire damage oO.

And siege/pvp renewal testing tomorrow.

I hope we'll see more more movies and information than from kRO.

In case some people do not know it yet - iRo renewal tests are commencing. Sadly they are supposed to last for a week only and the access is limited to people with payed subscriptions. Personally I think one week is way too short and people testing report there are a lot of engrish and glitches in translation (like "Go kill pekopekos southsouth of Prontera").

Not strictly renewal related but they are adding mounts for all classes in jRo. I can't wait to see Anelai riding a Llama !!. I also wander if a slim ostrich can support my fat fat Minstrel. Most mounts actually look decent, but I like the expanded class frog the most.
